We are extremely fortunate to have the association of 2 exalted Vaishnavas - HG Rohinipriya das prabhu and HG Akrura das prabhu coming Friday and Saturday at ISKCON Scarborough.
We will have this wonderful opportunity to cleanse our hearts by hearing the Lilas of Krsna on these 2 days.
Srimad Bhagavatam 10.1.16: The Ganges, emanating from the toe of Lord Vishnu, purifies the three worlds, the upper, middle and lower planetary systems. Similarly, when one asks questions about the pastimes and characteristics of Lord Vasudeva, Krsna, three varieties of men are purified: the speaker or preacher, he who inquires, and the people in general who listen.
Program on Friday: HG Rohinipriya das prabhu will be giving a BG class starting at 6.45 pm.
Program on Saturday: HG Akrura das prabhu will be giving Srimad Bhagavatam katha from 6 pm to 8pm. A grand vegetarian feast will be served at the end of these 2 programs
Biodata of HG Rohinipriya das prabhu: HG Rohini Priya Das prabhu graduated as a doctor of Medicine from Mumbai university but decided to dedicate his life in the service of Lord Krishna. Prabhu, is a senior Brahmachari at ISKCON's Sri Radha Gopinath mandir at Chowpatty,Mumbai,India. He is currently serving as the Vice President at ISKCON Chowpatty in Mumbai. For the last 20 years he has not only been practicing Krishna Consciousness but has been actively distributing the message of Bhagavad Gita to thousands of Engineering , Medical students and other professionals all over India. He also travels widely to USA, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal and Canada and delivers various seminars on Krsna Consciousness.
Biodata of HG Akrura das prabhu: HG Akrura das prabhu was born in 'Shuktal, India. Shuktal is the actual place where Shukdev Goswami spoke the Srimad Bhagavatam to Parikshit Maharaj. HG Akrura das prabhu is continuing the glorious service that was started by his father by conducting Bhagavat katha and Bhagvad Gita programs. Prabhu preaches Krishna Consciousness in India, West Indies & North America. Prabhu preaches in English, Punjabi, Gujarati, Urdu and Hindi Prabhu also serves as the co- President of Iskcon and serves the Global Iskcon as a deputy GBC.
