On Sunday 16th Dec 2012- ISKCON devotees prepared and served a wonderful feast for over 300 devotees during the 10th annual Azhwar Mahothsavam at the Hindu Temple Society of Canada

We thank the devotees from various ISKCON temples for coming together in prasadam and book distribution on this day
Azhwars:
The word ‘Azhwar’ in Tamil means, ‘one who dives deep’. In other words, they were totally immersed in thoughts of serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead and were overwhelmed by the desire to always be with the Lord. They were all incarnations of Lord Vishnu’s paraphernalia in Vaikuntha and they took their births on earth among all grades of men, both high caste and low in order to teach the transcendental message of the Lord to all members of society.
There are 12 Azhwars in total.

Members of ISKCON Scarborough, continued their decade-old tradition of preparing very sumptuous vegetarian meals during the Azhwar Mahothsavam on Dec 16, 2012 at Richmond Hill Hindu Temple. Every member of ISKCON were very true Ambassadors of the movement, maintaining discipline, cleanliness and pious attitude that was reflected in the quality of food being served. All the devotees who had come for the Mahothsavam very much appreciated and admired the members. I am delighted to attach herewith some photos taken during the occasion. Since these were taken by me, I give full authorization to ISKCON to use them in any manner appropriate to project our appreciation for their service, including your Website.
