We are very pleased to share the news that HH Bhakti Swarupa Caitanya Swami will be visiting ISKCON Scarborough coming Friday - 15th May 2015 to give a special class.

Maharaj will also be joining us on the Live Tamil radio program at the Geethavaani radio station on Saturday - 16th May 2015(10 am to 11 am - can be heard live at www.geethavaani.com)

Some of you may recall that Maharaj was formerly a Brahmacari named HG Ananda Caitanya das.

As a Brahmacari HG Ananda Caitanya das has been gracing ISKCON Scarborough since 2012.

As HG Ananda Caitanya das he also took part in the live Radio program on Saturdays whenever he visited the GTA as well as joined us for the 3rd annual Harinam Sankirtan cruise in Lake Ontario in 2012.

Bio of HH Bhakti Swarupa Caitanya Swami


HH Bhakti Swarupa Caitanya Swami joined ISKCON in 1979.

From 1984-89, he printed and distributed Srila Prabhupada books underground in Russian language. He served as the temple president in the first temple in former USSR, Kaunas city. He also served as the regional secretary for Volga and west Siberia regions, in Russia.

Since 1998, Maharaj has since visited Germany, Canada, the United States, Switzerland , South Africa and in Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia Lithuania.

On February 21st, 2015, Maharaj took sannyasa initiation in Mayapur from HH Bhakti Caitanya Swami.
