Gaura Purnima celebrations coming Saturday!‏

Hare Krishna!

Please accept our humble obeisances!
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!

Gaura Purnima is the appearance day of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Gaura Purnima means “golden full moon,” signifying that Lord Caitanya appeared during a full moon, and The Lord blesses everyone with the soothing, moon like rays of His sublime teachings.

Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu is Krishna Himself, appearing as His own devotee, to teach us that we can gain full enlightenment simply by chanting the holy names of the Lord:

Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

Gaura Purnima the appearance anniversary of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who is Krsna Himself in the role of His own devotee, is on March 26th 2013(Tuesday). He appeared in 1486 in Mayapur, West Bengal.

On this auspicious day, devotees fast until moon rise.

We at ISKCON Scarborough will be celebrating this grand event on Saturday March 30th 2013.

The festival will feature an abhishek (bathing ceremony of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai), class on appearance of Lord Caitanya as well as an Arti and prasadam feast!

Asian Television Network (ATN) has been invited to cover this grand event and telecast it to wider audience so that everyone can partake the mercy of the most Munificent incarnation.

On Friday – 29th March 2013, on the occasion of the Auspicious Swati Natcatra, there will be a grand Abhishek performed on Lord Narasimhadev. Program starts at 6.30 pm.

We welcome you, your family and friends to join us for the Swati Natcatra celebrations on Friday and for the Gaura Purnima celebration on Saturday.

With best wishes from,
