By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and for the pleasure of the devotees, ISKCON Scarborough has arranged a 5 hour boat cruise on Lake Ontario for holiday Monday September 6th 2010 at 12.30 pm.
We hope to enjoy the great summer weather while we relish sumptuous prasadam and immerse in the overwhelming ecstatic waves of kirtan in association of devotees.
As a bonus, we'll have the best seats in the house as we enjoy the Annual Toronto International Air Show.
Sublime kirtan will be lead by Gaura Shakti Group and Ajamil prabhu
Gaura-Shakti is a Toronto-based kirtan yoga group with experienced musicians hailing from all around the world including places like Russia, India and Canada.
They present beautiful and melodious kirtan accompanied by beautiful instruments like the harmonium, mrdanga-drum, bamboo flute, bass guitar and more. Gaura-Shakti will help take you on a journey to ancient India’s mystical past during this rendezvous aboard the ship.
Ajamil prabhu is world renowned for his ecstatic kirtans and will spiritually entertain us during this cruise.

Coming from the West or Northwest:
Take the QEW or 427 to the Gardiner eastbound, exit at Jameson Ave. Continue east along Lakeshore Blvd. approximately 3 kms. To Bathurst St. Turn right and then turn left at the lights on to Queens Quay, continue to the first driveway and turn right. Yankee Lady IV is docked at the end of the pier on the right. There is a Harbour front parking garage at this location.
Coming from the North:
Take the Don Valley Parkway southbound to the Gardiner Expressway west and exit at Yonge St., continue west on Lakeshore Blvd. Turn left at Bathurst St. then turn left at Queens Quay then right on the first driveway. There is a public Parking garage at this location.
Coming from the East:
Take Lakeshore Blvd. west turn left at Bathurst St. then left at Queens Quay and right at the first driveway.
Via Public Transit:
Take the subway to Union Station and take the 509 Streetcar to Dan Leckie Way Walk south to the water's edge
Other details:
Clothing: Please wear clothing appropriate to the weather/event (Perhaps a light sweater as it's generally cooler on the Lake)
Prasadam: (Sanctified food) will be provided aboard the ship
Duration: Total cruise time is 5 hours including 30 minutes of loading/30 minutes of unloading of passengers
Water & Beverage: Can be purchased on the ship, unfortunately due to ship rules we're unable to take any water onto the ship for distribution. We will however, provide free water before and after the cruise.
Kirtans: Be ready to get spiritually uplifted with glorious kirtans during the cruise as Gaura Shakti and Ajamil prabhu will be "in the house".
Toronto International Air show: Enjoy the best seats in the house and see the latest in modern war planes and the always entertaining Canadian Snowbirds.
